C. MARKET PROCESSES (Director of the Journal “Market Processes: European Journal of Political Economy”)
Founding Director-Editor of the scientific journal Procesos de Mercado: European Journal of Political Economy, created in 2004 with the aim of serving the scientific community as a means of publishing all studies and works that, with the necessary intellectual rigor, address the analysis of the dynamic processes of social cooperation that characterize the market, giving special relevance to the role played in them by entrepreneurship and the different institutions (economic, legal and moral) that make life in society possible.
The journal’s approach is clearly multidisciplinary: it is open not only to works of more abstract analysis, but also to historical works that illustrate theoretical approaches, works of applied economics, studies of methodology, analysis of law and institutions, history of thought and, in general, all rigorous research within the current and tradition of the Austrian School of Economics. The main reason for the founding of Procesos de Mercado is precisely to cover the “gap” existing between the small number of high-standard scientific journals that publish works in Europe with the aforementioned approach and the ever-growing volume of studies and research produced in that tradition with a high academic level.
Procesos de Mercado is directed by its Editorial Board, consisting of the Director, the Secretary General, four Deputy Directors and an Editor-in-Chief. The Editorial Board is assisted by the Advisory Board and the Scientific Board, which establish the basic criteria and guidelines. These collective bodies fully assume the intellectual responsibility of the journal, ensuring the quality of the submitted manuscripts, which are always subjected to anonymous evaluation by qualified specialists. This evaluation process has a fundamentally constructive objective, that is, it is aimed at adding value to the works received, encouraging authors to revise, whenever necessary, their respective manuscripts in order to reach the high scientific level that Procesos de Mercado wishes to maintain.
Finally, and in order to achieve the highest degree of dissemination, after a reasonable period following the publication of each issue of the journal, its contents may be consulted on the internet at: www.procesosdemercado.com or www.jesushuertadesoto.com.
